Committees:
Meeting Time: Every Wednesday Time: 9:00 A.M. in the church basement Our purpose is to recycle greeting cards of all kinds. All occasion cards sell for 25 - 50 cents. Buy any eight cards to receive one free card. You can also purchase Christmas cards in packages. We are currently striving to keep an adequate supply available. They are available in the racks by the office door, at UMW meetings, or visiting us on Wednesday mornings. We will be preparing for the Holiday season soon - Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We have plenty of Christmas cards to do! We have an adequate supply of cards to recycle - but we can use cards for children, men, and weddings. Unused envelopes are needed also. We express our thanks to all who have contributed and offered support for this project in any way. If you would like to cut cards, join us for fellowship!
Meeting Time: Meeting quarterly on 2nd Tuesday Time: 8:00 P.M. Contact Person: Sandi Drewry & Linda Barnett Purpose of our committee is to help members and guests feel welcome in our church family and to search out those persons in our community who are in need of finding Jesus Christ in their lives. Current happenings: we are making Baptism banners to give to each baby that is baptized in our church. The banner goes home with the child and can be hung up. September is Open House month in the United Methodist Church. Please come join us.

Meeting Time: First Tuesday of each month Time: 9:00 A.M. at Methodist Church Contact Person: The purpose of Handi Dandies is to keep the church in ship shape! Fix or repair doors, chairs, and pews. Minor repairs as needed. Hand pictures, bulletin boards, etc. Most anything to save the church a service call in electrical or plumbing. Currently the Handi Dandies are finishing their room in the basement which is used for the storage of tools, equipment, supplies, etc. used by the group. Donations, memorials, and used or new tools could be helpful to the organization.
Meeting Times: 1st and 3rd Mondays are noon meetings at Greenewood 2nd & 4th Mondays at Uptown Cafe 5th Mondays are Potlucks at the church Contact Person: Arlon & Marj Yepsen Come for food, fellowship, and fun! Our meetings at Greenewood help support that program. Potlucks afford opportunities to prepare favorite foods and to share! We share in "story" telling, devotional bits, and support.

Meeting Time: not meeting at the present The Quilters come to have fellowship & quilt. They are in need of some more quilters!
Meeting Time: Third Tuesday of the month (as needed) Time: 7:00 p.m. Contact Person: Chris Durlam
Meeting Time: Sunday (weekly basis) Contact Person: Oscar Orfield Our duties include: Directing people to seating, assisting in case of emergencies, and the set up of physical church (ie. lighting, PA, candles, etc.). First 2 weeks of each month families or couples usher during the service, and the second two weeks the regular ushers are used.
Meeting Time: TBA Time: TBA Contact Person: We minister to the needs of those members and constituents who are recovering from and illness, hospital stay, who have had a death in their family, or who are in a situation where the church may be of help and encouragement. Currently We Care does not meet during the summer months of June and July. A card or a phone call is made to those persons whom the Pastor or chair person feel have a need. This team is being re-evaluated into Health, Healing & Wholeness. Be watching for news about this.

Contact Person: Don Orris Purpose of our committee is to help make our church service more meaningful to all who attend and attract those who haven't found a church home. Currently we are not meeting the months of June and July. The purpose of our church is to save souls, so our worship meetings are spent discussing ways that our church can promote that purpose. |
